Endocrinology

The Endocrinology Department at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) provides specialized care for patients with disorders affecting the endocrine system, which includes hormone-producing glands and related metabolic conditions. The department focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of hormonal disorders that affect growth, metabolism, reproduction, and overall health.

The department provides comprehensive care for a wide range of endocrine conditions through a patient-centred and multidisciplinary approach. Working collaboratively with other specialties within UGMC, the Endocrinology Department supports early diagnosis, effective disease management, patient education, and improved quality of life for individuals living with endocrine and metabolic disorders.
