It deals with conditions affecting red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, bone marrow, lymph nodes, and the clotting system. Hematologists are specialists who diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of blood conditions, from common anemias to complex blood cancers.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Benign Hematology - Anaemia, Sickle cell disease etc.
Malignant Hematology - Leukaemias, lymphoma, multiple myeloma.
Hemostasis and thrombosis - Clotting disorders, bleeding disorders, anticoagulation management.
Diagnostic Hematology - Blood film comment, Bone marrow aspirate.
