Pathology

Our world-class Pathology unit is located on the ground floor of Building Eight (Morgue and warehouses) of the UGMC and it is well equipped with state-of-art technology to preserve the remains of persons who have passed before burial.

The Pathology Unit provides essential mortuary and diagnostic services with professionalism, dignity, and respect. The unit offers embalming services, including preservation for repatriation; mortuary storage services in temperature-controlled facilities; and post-mortem examinations to determine the cause of death through thorough and professional assessment.
