OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT
The Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery (Hair restoration/Aesthetics/Weightloss) Department at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) provides specialized reconstructive, cosmetic, and aesthetic surgical services aimed at improving function, appearance, and overall patient wellbeing. The department combines advanced surgical techniques with patient-centred care to address a wide range of reconstructive needs, aesthetic concerns, and body enhancement procedures.
The department provides comprehensive consultations, assessments, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual goals and medical needs. Services include reconstructive procedures following injury, disease, or surgery, as well as cosmetic and aesthetic interventions focused on enhancing confidence and quality of life. Through collaboration with other medical specialties within UGMC, the department ensures safe, evidence-based, and holistic patient care.
