Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)

The ENT Department at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) provides specialized medical and surgical care for conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. The department offers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with a wide range of ENT conditions, including hearing disorders, airway problems, sinus diseases, voice disorders, and head and neck conditions.

The department is supported by specialized ENT professionals who use advanced diagnostic and treatment approaches to provide quality, patient-centred care. Through collaboration with other clinical departments within UGMC, the ENT Department manages both routine and complex cases while providing surgical and non-surgical interventions aimed at improving patients’ hearing, breathing, communication, and overall quality of life.
