OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT
The Cardiology (Echo cardiography/Stress ECG/ Halter/Cardiac Catheterization Lab) Department at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) provides comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostic, interventional, and medical care services for patients with heart-related conditions. The department is equipped to evaluate, diagnose, manage, and monitor a wide range of cardiovascular diseases using advanced cardiac investigations and treatment approaches.
Through a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, cardiac technicians, and other healthcare professionals, the department provides specialized cardiac care including non-invasive investigations, cardiac monitoring, and catheter-based procedures. The department is committed to improving cardiovascular health outcomes through early diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, patient education, and continuous quality improvement.
