Paediatrics

The Paediatric Medical Department at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. The department is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of childhood medical conditions while promoting healthy growth, development, and overall wellbeing.

Through a child-centred and family-focused approach, the department provides specialized care for both common and complex paediatric conditions. The team works collaboratively with other paediatric subspecialties, surgeons, nurses, allied health professionals, and other clinical departments within UGMC to ensure coordinated, high-quality care for young patients.
