Kudos to our nurses and midwives on the launch of the second edition of Nurscape. This is a testament to our skills, quality of care, and shared successes that define our professional community, and it is far more than just a publication.

The Medical Training and Simulation Centre (MTSC), in partnership with the Trio Bridge Foundation, recently concluded a successful two-day Laparoscopic Gynaecology Simulation Training. Held from October 20th – 21st, 2025, the programme provided participants with intensive, hands-on experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques. The training combined theoretical depth with practical application, featuring:

UGMC buzzed with excitement on July 24, 2025, as a delegation from Google, led by Vice President and Head of Google Research, Yossi Matias, paid a working visit to the Centre. The visit, which was part of the ongoing ‘Akuaba Project’ collaboration with the UGMC Medical and Scientific Research Centre (MSRC), provided an opportunity to explore fresh possibilities for partnership in advancing healthcare research and innovation.

We bring you the third edition of the UGMC Newsletter on a rather sad note, even as we continue to showcase our remarkable achievements, inspiring stories, and significant milestones that took place during the first quarter of 2025. The UGMC community was thrown into a state of mourning as we lost one of our dedicated and hardworking specialists, Dr. Emmanuel Attuah Asante, on 14th January, 2025.
