Profile 
Dr. Basilia Sabina Engmann is a Clinical Pharmacist with a specialization in Paediatrics and a strong commitment to advancing pharmaceutical care for children and adolescents. She currently works within the Women and Children's Pharmacy at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), where she contributes to the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered medication therapy. 
With experience spanning hospital, community, and public healthcare settings, Dr. Engmann is passionate about improving health outcomes for children through evidence-based practice, medication safety, and clinical research. She combines her clinical expertise with a growing interest in research to support innovations in paediatric healthcare and pharmacotherapy.

Areas of Expertise 
Her area of expertise is Paediatric Pharmacy, with a focus on optimizing medication therapy, promoting medication safety, and improving clinical outcomes among paediatric patients. 

Education 
Dr. Engmann holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and completed specialist training through the Ghana College of Pharmacists with a focus on Paediatrics. She has also completed professional certification courses in Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management and Fundamentals in Quality in Supply through the Novartis Value Chain Academy. 

Professional Experience 
Dr. Engmann has gained experience across various healthcare settings, including community pharmacy, district-level healthcare, and tertiary healthcare institutions. Her professional journey has included roles in hospital pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical care delivery, and medication management. At UGMC, she contributes to specialized pharmaceutical services for women and children while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient care. 

Professional and Research Interests 
Dr. Engmann is a paediatric-focused clinical pharmacist and emerging clinical researcher with professional and research interests in nephrology, pharmacovigilance, evidence-based therapeutics, and global child health. She is particularly interested in generating and applying evidence that improves medication use, patient safety, and health outcomes for children.
