UGMC Medical Imaging Specialist

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah is a Ghanaian radiologist and medical imaging specialist with extensive experience in diagnostic imaging and patient-centred care. She currently serves as a radiologist in the Imaging Department at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), where she plays a key role in supporting clinical diagnosis through advanced imaging techniques and collaborative multidisciplinary care. Dr. Adjei-Yeboah is recognized for her dedication to excellence in radiological practice, her commitment to continuous professional development, and her contribution to improving diagnostic services within Ghana’s healthcare system.

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah attended Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast for her secondary education. She later gained admission to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Medical Sciences, where she pursued her medical training and graduated with a medical degree in 2013.

Following her medical training, Dr. Adjei-Yeboah undertook specialist training in Radiology at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. She completed her residency and attained membership in Radiology in 2021, qualifying her as a specialist radiologist.

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah completed her housemanship at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi and St. Patrick’s Hospital in Offinso, where she gained broad clinical experience across multiple medical disciplines.

Following her internship, she joined Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where she worked from 2015 to 2023 while advancing her career in radiology and contributing to diagnostic imaging services at one of Ghana’s leading tertiary healthcare institutions.

Dr. Adjei-Yeboah currently serves as a Radiologist at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra, where she works in the Imaging Department. She also holds the role of Clinical Lead for the department, providing clinical leadership, supporting multidisciplinary care, and contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah’s professional interests focus on advanced diagnostic imaging, particularly in Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). She has a special interest in genitourinary imaging, where she is committed to improving diagnostic accuracy and supporting effective clinical management of diseases affecting the urinary and reproductive systems.

She is also interested in the application of modern imaging technologies to enhance early disease detection, guide treatment decisions, and improve patient outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah is an active member of several professional medical bodies. She is a member of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) and the Ghana Association of Radiologists (GAR), where she contributes to professional collaboration, continuing medical education, and the advancement of radiological practice in Ghana.

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah is fluent in English and Twi and has beginner to intermediate proficiency in Spanish, enabling her to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.

Dr. (Med) Anna Adjei-Yeboah is a dedicated radiologist whose career reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centred care, and the advancement of diagnostic imaging services in Ghana.
