Dr Nana Wiafe
Radiologist Specialist | Breast Imaging Fellow
Dr. Nana Ama A. Wiafe is a Specialist Radiologist and Breast Imaging Fellow with over 13 years of clinical experience, including five years of dedicated practice in diagnostic radiology. She obtained her MBChB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), School of Medical Sciences, and is a Member of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (MGCP).
Her clinical expertise is focused on breast imaging, with particular interest in breast cancer detection, risk assessment, and imaging-based stratification. Dr. Wiafe is actively engaged in breast cancer advocacy and research. Her current work investigates the correlation between breast density and breast cancer risk in the Ghanaian population, contributing to the growing body of evidence aimed at improving early detection strategies and informing context-specific screening protocols in sub-Saharan Africa.
She is a member of the Ghana Association of Radiologists, the Ghana Medical Association, the Medical Women’s Association of Ghana, and the Breast Society of Ghana.
Dr. Wiafe is fluent in English and Twi.
