Work Experience
Mrs. Acheampong has over 22 years of nursing experience, including eight years of practice in recovery ward nursing and eight years of leadership experience in Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) management.
During her time in recovery ward nursing at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, she provided post-operative monitoring, patient assessment, acute care support, and recovery management while ensuring safe and effective clinical care for patients following surgical procedures.
She later transitioned into CSSD practice, where she contributed to the establishment and operational development of CSSD services. As Head of CSSD, she has provided leadership in managing sterilization services, decontamination processes, equipment handling, infection prevention practices, staff training, and operational improvement initiatives.
At the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), Mrs. Acheampong contributed to the establishment and training of CSSD staff, supporting the development of systems and processes that promote operational excellence, patient safety, and quality healthcare delivery.

She also holds a Certificate in CSSD Management from Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Israel (2015), a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Nursing with Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon (2012), a State Registered Nurse (SRN) qualification (2003), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Nursing from the University of Ghana, Legon (2001).
