Mr. Frank Paa Kwesi Amponsah-Darko is a distinguished legal and healthcare professional with over a decade of cross-disciplinary experience spanning healthcare administration, finance, project coordination, and legal advisory. He currently serves as Legal Counsel and Management Member at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), West Africa’s premier quaternary hospital and a leading hub for advanced medical care, research, and innovation.

Work Experience
  • Legal Counsel & Management Member, University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC). Provides strategic legal advisory services, ensures compliance with national and international healthcare regulations, oversees contract management, and supports risk mitigation and ethical governance frameworks.
  • Hospital Administrator, St. Martins Memorial Hospitals. Supervised multi-branch hospital operations and managed over 400 staff, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and quality healthcare delivery.
  • Policy & Project Coordinator, King of Kings Healthcare Services. Led health expansion initiatives across multiple regions in Ghana, coordinating policy implementation, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.
  • Lead Project Coordinator, Medical Gloves & Latex Products Manufacturing Initiative (2019). Coordinated the establishment of West Africa’s first medical gloves and latex product manufacturing facility, a Dutch-Ghanaian turnkey project supported by the Netherlands’ MKB, Atradius DSB, and Ghana’s Ministry of Health.
  • Quality Improvement Liaison Officer, PharmAccess B.V. – SafeCare Program. Served as one of the pioneering liaison officers, contributing to the advancement of clinical quality standards in Ghana’s private healthcare sector.
  • International Clinical Training Coordinator, Rainbow Student Exchange Program. Coordinated and supervised international clinical training programmes, facilitating cross-cultural medical education for foreign medical students.
