The Thyroid Ghana Foundation Marks International Thyroid Awareness Week At UGMC
The Thyroid Ghana Foundation commemorated International Thyroid Awareness Week at the University of Ghana Medical Centre Ltd. (UGMC) on 30 May 2025. Google (USA) Team Visits UGMC for Collaboration Opportunities

2024 World Oral Health Day marked at UGMC

World Social Work Day observed at UGMC

Stroke affecting younger Ghanaians- UGMC pilot study
According to a pilot study conducted by a team at the neurosurgical department of the University of Ghana Medical Centre Ltd (UGMC), with support from the Centre's research directorate, the highest number of deaths from the deadliest type of stroke (intracerebral haemorrhage) occurred between the ages of 36 and 45 years (38% of deaths recorded).

GHANA VAST/ SimPACT (MEPA) TRAINING PROGAMME, 2025 - UGMC MTSC
The VAST/MEPA training programme is a simulation-based educational collaboration between the UGMC-MTSC, University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS), Ghana Anaesthesiologists Society (GAS), Obstetric Teams of Participating Facilities, the University of Cape Town Simulation for Paediatric Anaesthesia Crisis Training (SimPACT/MEPA) Team and Vital Anaesthesia Simulation Training (VAST).
