Mrs. Judith Asiamah is the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services at UGMC.
Mrs. Judith Asiamah is the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services at UGMC.
She started her nursing career as a General Nurse in 1992 after completing the 37 Military Hospital Nursing and Midwifery Training college. She trained as a midwife in 1996 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and trained as a Registered Perioperative nurse in 2000. She attained BA Psychology and Sociology in 2009 and continued to study Executive Masters in Business Administration at the university of Ghana, Legon 2011-2013. She has been the Greater Accra Regional facilitator of infection prevention and control practices since 2016.
Mrs. Asiamah has been part of many committees for organizing Nurses and Midwives week, Conferences, Seminars, Recruitment and Promotion Boards etc. She was the Deputy Director of Nursing Services for Maternity Theatre of the 37 Military Hospital before joining UGMC as the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services in 2018. She is an assessor for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and organizes periodic training for nurses and paramedics. She is a fellow of Ghana College of Nursing and Midwives (GCNM) and Member of Sigma Theta.
Mrs. Asiamah’s vision is to use her skills as a nurse manager to get her nursing team to offer world class nursing services at UGMC.
