UGMC Doctor

Mr. Albert Nana Sarfo is a highly resourceful and ethical Senior Administrative Manager with over a decade of progressive experience spanning education (Teaching), healthcare and public sector operations. My career is defined by a proven expertise in streamlining complex administrative processes and enhancing team efficiency within high-pressure environments like the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC). As a self-motivated problem-solver, I am dedicated to achieving organizational objectives through ethical decision-making and collaborative leadership.

Mr. Sarfo attended Benkum Secondary School, where he obtained his SSCE Certificate in 1999.He went into teaching from 2002 to 2006, he then proceeded to the University of Ghana, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, graduating in 2010.

He later pursued his postgraduate studies at the University of Ghana Business School, earning a Master of Arts degree in Management and Administration in 2025.

In addition to his formal degrees, Mr. Sarfo has also acquired certificate courses in Health Services Management and Administration, as well as Health Law, both from the Presbyterian University Ghana.

Mr. Sarfo has gained extensive experience in diverse areas of the professional arena. He worked with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority in administration and with Metro Mass Transit (operations) at the headquarters. He also worked part-time with the Electoral Commission of Ghana in the Agona West District and Kpone-Katamanso Municipality.

Additionally, Mr. Sarfo served as a marketing manager for a roofing company in Tema and worked as an officer with health information/biostatistics department at the Swedru Government Hospital. He has also been in the teaching field (First Star Academy – Community 12, Tema) for a decade. Currently, he is a senior administrative manager at the University of Ghana Medical Center (Medical Imaging), where he continues to apply his skills and expertise. 

 

 

 

 

 

Professional and Research Interests

Mr. Sarfo’s interest is in optimizing hospital workflows and departmental efficiency, utilizing PHIS, dhims, health-pro and database management to improve outcomes and finally participating in initiatives to support evidence-based administrative policies.
